Absence/Make Up Policy

We offer make-up classes for eligible absences for our weekly on site programs to ensure your child doesn’t miss out on their progress. Our system relies on a “give and take” community—as such, make-ups are not guaranteed and only available when other families report their absences at least 4 hours before the start of class!

1. Reporting an Absence

Absences for weekly lessons must be submitted via the Customer Portal only. Since our system is live and our staff are not monitoring emails or calls 24/7, this is the only way to ensure all absences are handled fairly for all families.

Portal Directions:

  • Log In: Sign into the Customer Portal.

  • Find the Tile: Click the “Absences & Makeups” tile on your dashboard.

  • Submit: Click the “Report an Absence” button, select your student/date, and click “Submit.”

The 4-Hour Rule:

To be eligible for a make-up, the system requires notice at least 4 hours before your class starts. Late reports in the portal are not eligible for make-up classes, and the system will automatically reject the submission. Advance notice can be given up to 4 weeks out.

2. Scheduling a Make-Up

Make-ups are self-service and can be booked as soon as a qualifying absence is reported.

Portal Directions:

  • Find Absence: In the Absences & Makeups section of your portal, look for your missed class in the Past or Upcoming absences list.

  • Schedule: If the absence is eligible, click the Schedule Makeup link next to that class.

  • Select Class: The portal will display all available classes. Select your preferred class. If no options appear, please check back at a later time.

  • Confirm: Click Submit and then OK to book your spot instantly.
