Excel Aquatics is a swim school at 1770 Central Ave, Unit 17, in Colonie, about 11 miles north of the Delmar Four Corners. We’ve been teaching children and adults to swim since 2012.

Why families from Delmar choose Excel Aquatics

Our lessons are private and one-on-one. Each lesson is one swimmer with one instructor, so your child gets the instructor’s full attention from start to finish. The instructor gets to know how your child learns and plans each lesson around their next skill — whether that’s getting comfortable in the water, floating, breathing, or building strokes. Private lessons are available for children ages 3–13 and for adults.

Families come to us from around Delmar and the Town of Bethlehem — from the Four Corners, Elm Avenue Park, and the neighborhoods along Delaware and Kenwood Avenues.

“Our kids attended for two years and have become amazing swimmers. I’m impressed with their teaching style and highly recommend them.”

— Eng W.

Getting here from Delmar

From the Delmar Four Corners (Delaware Ave and Kenwood Ave), the school is about 11 miles, roughly 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. One common route is Kenwood Avenue (Route 140) to the Slingerlands Bypass (Route 85) north, then local roads to Central Avenue (Route 5) and west to 1770 Central Ave in Colonie. Some drivers prefer I-87/I-90; check your map app for the best route at your time of day. We’re in Unit 17.

Finding us: Park in the main lot at Village Square. Our entrance is behind Bruegger’s Bagels, on the left-hand side of the building as you face it from the lot. Follow the sidewalk and the Excel Aquatics “Walk to Entrance” sign to our main entrance.
