Excel Aquatics is a swim school at 1770 Central Ave, Unit 17, in Colonie — a short trip down the Northway from Latham Farms and the Latham Circle. We’ve been teaching children and adults to swim since 2012.

Why families from Latham choose Excel Aquatics

Our lessons are private and one-on-one. Each lesson is one swimmer with one instructor, so your child gets the instructor’s full attention from start to finish. The instructor gets to know how your child learns and plans each lesson around their next skill — whether that’s getting comfortable in the water, floating, breathing, or building strokes. Private lessons are available for children ages 3–13 and for adults.

We’re just a few exits south of Latham on I-87, so families from neighborhoods around Latham Farms, the Latham Circle, and Route 9 can get here quickly after school or work.

“I think the private lessons are great as the kids learn faster with individualized attention, plus they are swimming for the entire 30 minutes rather than waiting for someone else to complete their turn.”

— Christina S.

Programs

Private (1:1) lessons for children ages 3–13 — our main program, for every level from first-timers to confident swimmers.

Semi-private and small-group lessons are available by request.
